The 'Coronation Street' star - who portrays bubbly bar worker Eva Price in the ITV soap - was stunned when her hunky beau popped the question in August last year, but knew she had to accept because she felt he was "The One."

She explained: "I'm the most indecisive person you could meet, but within three months I knew he was The One."

And it wasn't just the proposal that came speeding along as just 12 months after they met they welcomed their first child Alfie into the world, and the blonde beauty is thrilled she's met the love of her life, settled down and started their family.

Speaking to Woman magazine, she said: "We got engaged, and a year after we met we had Alfie.

"If it was any of my friends I'd be, 'What the hell are you doing? Slow down, sister!' But I didn't have any doubts."

Meanwhile, the loved-up couple are planning to tie the knot in March next year and want their little one - who will be 12 months at the time - to have a starring role in their nuptials.

Catherine, 32, said recently: "We wanted to wait until after his first birthday in March to tie the knot so he could be part of the big day. And from the way he's already trying to hold himself up, he should be walking by then."

And, with her big day creeping closer, the soap star has already chosen her wedding gown and has decided her 'Corrie' co-star Antony Cotton - who plays factory worker Sean Tully in the programme - will be one of her 'bridesmen'.
