Craig Revel-Horwood wants Cheryl Cole for Strictly Come Dancing.

The 'Fight For This Love' hitmaker has been rumoured to be returning to 'The X Factor' panel after leaving in 2010 for the US, but the 48-year-old dancing judge believes she should ditch the singing competition and jump onboard the Ballroom and Latin show.

He said: "Cheryl should now close the door on 'The X Factor' and compete on next year's 'Strictly'.

"She could wrestle back her 'nation's sweetheart' crown by winning the hearts of the public again."

Craig - who is known for his brutal scores and nasty remarks - insists the brunette beauty isn't a very good singer, but knows how to drop some shapes on the dance floor and would look fantastic in the sequinned dresses.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "Cheryl may not be the world's best singer but she's one hell of a dancer. She'd look amazing in the costumes - and it would do wonders for her profile."

Despite falling out with 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell back in 2011 when she was fired for the US version of the show, the 54-year-old music mogul previously said he'd love to have Cheryl back on the UK programme because she's a "great judge".

He said: "I saw her recently, we speak a lot on the phone and text each other, and I think both of us would like the idea of working together again.

"She was a great judge. I mean, apart from being cute she's a great judge and she knows what she's talking about and, oh my God, she wears her heart on her sleeve!"
