The 48-year-old radio DJ will head into the jungle when the latest series kicks off on Sunday (06.11.22), and joked he had to do the programme because his long-term partner Tiffany Austin wants to refurbish their en-suite.

Speaking on his Radio X show in a video shot at his isolation accommodation, he said: "I'm going into the jungle. Tiff wants to do the en-suite, so no choice.

"Please watch the show and please vote. I don't want to be out first."

He then quipped: "The embarrassment of having to go to the five-star hotel."

Chris joked he will be excluded from trials on medical grounds for having "flat feet".

He quipped: "As far as trials go - medical grounds. I've got flat feet, so I can't do anything."

Chris claimed this week that people will see a "much quieter" version of him in the jungle.

He said: "Contrary to popular belief, I won’t be the loudest person in the camp.

"My radio show is a very turned up version of me and people will get to see a much quieter Chris Moyles!"

Chris will enter camp on Sunday alongside pop icon Boy George, 'Coronation Street' star Sue Cleaver, 'Hollyoaks' actor Owen Warner, former England rugby player Mike Tindall, England Lioness Jill Scott, comedian Babatunde Aleshe, former 'Love Island' star Olivia Attwood, and TV presenters Charlene White and Scarlette Douglas.

Tune into The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, with Toby Tarrant sitting in for Chris while he's in the jungle, weekdays from 6:30am – 10am
