The 41-year-old television personality quit his hosting duties on rival show 'The X Factor' after nearly a decade at the helm but he hasn't been short of job offers as the BBC One competition's judge has offered the star a role on the show as a dancer.

He said: "Now we can get Dermot, I'd love to see him dance on 'Strictly'.

"I've heard that he might be quite good actually."

And Craig, 50, is particularly happy that 'Strictly Come Dancing' champion Caroline Flack, joined by Olly Murs, is to replace Dermot on the show.

He added: "I think all the changes are very exciting. I know Dermot has been part of 'X Factor' for ages and of course we've had people on 'Strictly' that have come through, like Caroline for instance.

"It's quite extraordinary that it's taken a turn in that particular fashion but you know everything changes and as I say, I always re-cast my shows to keep them fresh and I think that's a good thing."

And Craig - who has appeared on 'Strictly' since it's inception in 2004 - isn't bothered if he finds himself being "re-cast".

He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I wouldn't be horribly upset. I might get a much better paying job on ITV. Who knows?"
