The 27-year-old star believes his fellow former 'Celebrity Big Brother' co-star - who left the show early after she falsely accused eventual winner Ryan Thomas of punching her - was "completely wrong" to make such an accusation against ex-'Coronation Street' actor.

Speaking at the National Reality TV Awards on Tuesday night (25.09.18) at London's Porchester Hall, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm guessing she isn't here tonight ... she's got a screw loose.

"What she did is just completely wrong and I'm sure she knows that now, and I'm sure she regrets it."

Following Dan's 'CBB' stint, he has got his relationship with wife Jacqueline Jossa - who he has daughters Ella, three, and three-month-old Mia with - "back on track", and admits the pair are getting on "pretty well".

Dan - who finished third on 'Celebrity Big Brother' - added: "It's been good. We've managed to get back on track from where we were before I went in the house.

"We're getting on pretty well, so we're going on from that now."

The former 'The Only Way is Essex' hunk recently admitted 'CBB' helped to save his marriage, because the show made him realise what a "beautiful woman and great mum" Jacqueline is.

He said: "It made me realise I was lucky and that she was a good girl.

"She's a beautiful woman, great mum and I think it made me really have time to reflect on that. It made me appreciate her.

"My time in 'Big Brother' made me realise the things that I was doing wrong and how I was not helping my situation or my marriage.

"It's made me realise my faults, no one is perfect. I am not going to say it's made me a perfect person, but it definitely made me appreciate what I have.

"The show strips you back to nothing and you realise how lucky you are and how lucky I am to have my wife. It made me realise she ain't as bad I was thinking ... when she was moaning I was going out, and I was going out because she was moaning. It was like a vicious circle."
