The 'EastEnders' actor - who also fronts game show ‘The Wall’ with the 75-year-old presenter - suggested his co-star gets “sexier every day”.

He told Woman’s Own magazine: “She gets sexier every day, more and more attractive. She brings the class, a bit of sophistication.”

However, the pair don’t get to film with each other very often as Angela voices questions for the show’s contestants.

But Danny joked he'd wouldn't be able to resist the ‘Rip Off Britain’ star if they spent more time together.

He quipped: “If she were in the studio with me, I’d be flirting with her.”

Meanwhile, the soap star has been getting an unusual perspective of his own talents as 'EastEnders' has added perspex screens to the set to adhere to social distancing rules.

He said: “What’s odd is that you can see your reflection, so it’s like I’m acting to myself.”

‘EastEnders’ stars returned to the set after production was halted due to the coronavirus.

However, BBC bosses are intended to include aspects of the pandemic in the storylines to help mirror society.

Producer Jon Sen said: “I think it’s the responsibility of a soap to reflect what’s going on in greater society and the seismic shifts that happened in the country. It’s kind of business as usual, but with a Covid twist.”

But to ensure they follow the government’s guidelines, bosses have enlisted the help of actor’s family members to play extras.

Jon said: "Our greatest challenge is that we have several family units, that's the nature of EastEnders and soap, and families who would be in the same household, so not at two-metre distances, but obviously they are played by actors who are obeying social distancing, so there's a huge challenge at the heart of it.

"For those really crucial moments where two characters kiss we've actually invited the real-life partners of the actors on to the set to be able to cheat those kind of moments."
