Dappy has been offered a £100,000 deal to take part in 'Celebrity Big Brother'.

The N-Dubz rapper has put pen to paper on the six-figure agreement to star in the next series of the Channel 5 reality show, which starts on January 3, as he allegedly has just weeks to pay off an undisclosed tax bill.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Dappy has been given a stark warning to pay off his tax bill but he needs cash fast. Celebrity Big Brother has come knocking and it's been tough to say no."

While the 26-year-old star - whose real name is Costadinos Contostavlos - hasn't commented on speculation he is going to appear in the show, he has dismissed rumours he is desperate for money, insisting he just received £250,000 and is set to sign a new record deal.

He tweeted: "I just got a quarter of a Mill!!!! Plus my New record deal is on Da Table!!! #FarFromB

"I got doe now and always will have!!!!!! If your talented you'll always be financially stable!!!!! #Tarzan3 (sic)"

Last year, Dappy branded reality TV shows the "kiss of death" for a celebrity's career.

He said: "No way would I go on one of them, they're the kiss of death. You go on 'I'm A Celeb' or 'Celebrity Big Brother' when your career is fading away. It's a disgrace!"
