Coronation Street's David Platt will contemplate suicide after finding out his unborn baby's father could be his brother.
The soap bad boy turned hairdresser will consider ending his life by jumping off a cliff after discovering his brother Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) slept with his wife Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) on Christmas Day night (25.12.12), meaning the child she is carrying may not be his.
Jack P. Shepherd - who plays David - said: "He's really contemplating jumping. It's a big drop, and there'd be no way back if you went over the edge.
"David thinks that if he jumps, he'll never have to learn if Nick is the baby's dad. We filmed the scenes of David in all this turmoil out on location, and I had to do a lot of running.
"My legs have only just stopped killing me!"
While David puts a stop to his suicide bid after a phone conversation with Kylie's son Max (Harry McDermott), he gets a set of keys to Nick and Leanne Tilsley's (Jane Danson) flat and starts his revenge campaign of terror by wreaking havoc in their abode.
Jack added to Inside Soap magazine: "The first thing David does is get the keys to the flat Nick shares with Leanne. Then he goes in and trashes the place.
"Now he has a set of keys, David can get in and out whenever he wants. And that means he can make all sorts of trouble.
"This is just the beginning."
