David Tennant

David Tennant lies when people ask him about 'Doctor Who'.

The 42-year-old actor is to reprise his role as the Tenth Doctor in the upcoming 50th anniversary episode, 'The Day of the Doctor', and admits he gets so worried about giving away any parts of the special that he makes something up to avoid spilling the truth.

When asked about the 50 anniversary episode, he said: "I can't tell you a thing. That is what I remember about 'Doctor Who' more than anything.

"People want to talk to you about it more than anything else and you can say absolutely nothing.

"Everyone thinks I've been lying furiously. I suppose I've told a couple of white lies."

While David has landed some major TV roles, including the lead in gripping drama 'Broadchurch', since quitting the sci-fi series, he admits he didn't feel any different returning to the 'Doctor Who' set.

He added: "The first day I arrived, the costume's hanging there like it used to every day.

"It feels like, 'Where have I been? Have I just woken out of a dream?' "
