ITV are continuing their relationship with actor David Threlfall as he's due to star in their newly commissioned two-part drama Code of a Killer.
The series will see David take on the role of Detective David Baker in 1984, heading up an investigation into the brutal murders of two Leicestershire schoolgirls.
Exploring the true story of Alec Jeffreys' discover of DNA fingerprinting, it will see its first use by David as he tries to catch the double murderer.
With the knowledge and input of retired professor Sir Alec Jeffreys and former Detective Superintendent David Baker, the show has been developed and written to the best standard it truly could be.
Casting for Alec Jeffreys is currently still underway and further announcements for key cast are to be made shortly.
Filming stars in late September of this year.
