Amy Schumer (Trainwreck, I Feel Pretty) is set to star in the 10-episode show that will release in early March this year (2022); Schumer also executive produces.

Life & Beth tell the tale of a women whose life would look great on paper; she makes a decent living as a wine distributor, she’s in a happy long-term relationship and lives in Manhattan.

However, when a surprise event forces Beth look into her past, she begins to learn how she got to where she is in life, and who she wants to become next.

Viewers will go on an adventure with Beth, as she tries to build a brighter and more authentic life for herself, learning to express who she is in the best way possible.

A journey down memory lane may be just what Beth needs; it might hold tales of trauma, but will also provide some comedy and a way for her to move forward with her life.

In addition to Schumer, the series also stars Michael Cera, Susannah Flood and Violet Young; guest stars include Kevin Kane, Yamaneika Saunders, Laura Benanti, Larry Owens, Michael Rapaport, Rosebud Baker and LaVar Walker.

The pictures show Schumer and Cera together; it seems as though Beth is a nurse, with Cera being a possible patient.

From these images, it appears as though Beth and her patient enjoy each other’s company, both in and out of the hospital Beth seems to work at.

Perhaps Cera’s character will provide a way for Beth to move forward in her journey of self-discovery, and be the person she needs in order to find who she is; he could also be a shoulder to cry on, and his character is simply the friend she needed.

Schumer may be considered a controversial actress to some, as her ventures into comedy and acting have sometimes been met with frosty receptions; however, maybe Life & Beth will be something worthy of praise.

Life & Beth will be available soon on Disney+.
