The 48-year-old burlesque dancer was unveiled as Beetroot on 'The Masked Dancer' earlier this week, but she would be well up for starring in a stripping-related show where celebrity contestants were in disguise.

When asked if it feels more comfortable performing burlesque than she did dancing as Beetroot, she said: "Obviously, I feel so much more comfortable.

"If this were 'The Masked Stripper' I would've won it. I'm all for that show.

"It was hard for me. One of the reasons I became a burlesque dancer is because I was a ballet dancer, but not a very good one.

"So that's how I came to burlesque."

Despite being "very excited" to take part in 'The Masked Dancer', Dita admitted it was a "source of stress" taking her heavy Beetroot head off.

She said: "It was a big source of stress for me taking that head off, because I had all these wires and things in my ears and my hair.

"It was like, 'Oh my God, how am I going to do that part?' After all the dancing, that was actually the hard part.

"But it was a lot of fun. I could not turn away a job like this, especially after a year and a half of hiatus from all showbusiness.

"It was very exciting to do something like this during the pandemic."

Earlier this week, it was revealed Beetroot had been sent a note by Llama - who was unmasked as Zoe Ball last night (03.06.21) - during filming, and Dita admitted she was "intrigued" when the message was slipped under her door.

Speaking on 'Lorraine', she added: "It said something about how excited he or she was to be there, and nervous.

"So it wasn't really a love note, I was intrigued because it was my first sort of, 'Who is the Llama?'

"It was just a funny, little note.

"We were all trying to figure out who each other were and we kept."
