The 28-year-old reality star has opened up about the "special" relationship she has with her grandfather and admitted that he was her "inspiration" for her much-anticipated collaboration with the Royal Voluntary Service, which aims to encourage more young people to volunteer.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Ferne said: "[My granddad] goes 'I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones'. He's so lovely, all my friends love him and he's so special to me, my mum and my sister. And my granddad keeps very active, and he's so sociable and he does go to so many amazing clubs and classes.

"He does painting and badminton, so he really does put himself out there, and he recently helped my mum move house.

"Obviously, there's elderly people in our local community who don't have that, so that was my incentive and inspiration to get involved in the Step Forward campaign because I feel so lucky and grateful that I've got my granddad and he's got us. I want to get him involved next! It's good to be involved with the local community."

The 'First Time Mum' star - who has 15-month-old daughter Sunday with her ex - also admitted that she wants to "instil" core values into her daughter and show her the importance of charity work because it's "extremely rewarding".

She added: "100 per cent [I want to get my children involved], it's extremely rewarding a fulfilling when you do any sort of charity work and you give the gift of your time or your talent, and that is definitely something that I want to instil in Sunday because I think it's important to teach the youths that it's important. Even an hour a week, you can go and volunteer, it's great!"

Royal Voluntary Service is one of Britain's largest volunteering charities with over 20,000 volunteers supporting thousands of people each month in hospitals and in the community.

The charity is also one of the largest retailers in the NHS, with its network of cafes and shops providing a valued haven in hospitals
