Foxes at Glamour Women of the Year Awards

Foxes hopes that after she stars in Doctor Who, she'll be made into an action figure.

It was revealed last week that the 'Holding Onto Heaven' singer is to make her acting debut in the next series of the BBC One sci-fi show and she is hoping her character will be immortalised in plastic.

When asked if she was hoping to be made into a toy, she said: "Yes, that would be the one, wouldn't it. That's where we want to be. No, it was really exciting, I'm a really big fan so it was great to be able to do that."

Foxes is staying secretive about her part but has revealed her character will not be aiming to cause the Doctor any harm.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, she said: "I'm not the villain."

Discussing working with new Time Lord Peter Capaldi, she added: "He is really exciting and very confident. He's got a charisma and a charm that's very exciting and fresh."

Foxes - real name Louisa Rose Allen - will perform a song in the episode she guest stars in and she thinks the track "might get released" as a single.

Although she couldn't resist a part in the sci-fi series, the 25-year-old pop star doesn't think she'll be swapping music for acting any time soon.

She said: "I am going to stick to singing for a while. Because it's 'Doctor Who', I'm like sod it. It's fine."

Capaldi's first series as the Twelfth Doctor is due to begin in August.
