Returning April 24 in the US on HBO and expected the day after in the UK on Sky Atlantic, Game of Thrones comes back with a sixth season and, for the first time, will be delivering content not fleshed out in the George R R Martin, A Song of Ice and Fire novel series. What this means is that shock value will now be at an all time high, with some amazing surprises predictably in store.

Last week we saw the release of exciting new photos from the season released which held little clues as to what would go on moving forward, and if fans are looking to find out some details from this new trailer then they'll be disappointed.

In it we are taken through the House of Black and White's Hall of Faces which holds the heads of those we've come to love or hate throughout the five seasons of the shows to-date. We see deceased characters such as Ned Stark, Robb Stark and Joffrey Baratheon, but as it closes we also see the heads of those who are still alive in the television series, including Tyrion Lannister and Sansa Stark.

Memorable lines from episodes past are whispered in the room, but no actual footage from the new batch of episodes is actually revealed.

Earlier in the year, Twitter users were encouraged to reveal a series of short teasers for House Stark, Targaryen and Lannister which included the banners of the house and audio clips, all three of which looked to show that the houses were in mortal peril.

Though we've been given a lot to whet our appetites, fans aren't any closer to discovering just what will go down in Westeros when Game of Thrones returns.
