The presenter, 34, will produce an eight-part series called ‘That’s My Jam’, which will be shown on the BBC, and shot in Los Angeles.

its successful pilot shoot in the city, based on the US music and comedy contest hosted by Jimmy Fallon, is said to have caught the eye of Hollywood executives who want to do more with Mo.

The Sun reported the host, who has appeared in shows including ‘The Lateish Show’, ‘The Masked Singer’ and currently Channel 4’s ‘The Big Breakfast’ revival, said at the Edinburgh TV Festival: “I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to work over there more, but there’s a lot of stuff here I still want to do. I don’t feel like I’ve done it all – I’ve won a couple of Baftas but I’ll have a couple more.

“I would never neglect what I have here. But this was a very important show for me to do.

“I want to keep on adapting and learning, so going over there to do the pilot, whether it was going to get commissioned or not, that was a big deal.”

Asked if he wanted to do more shows in the US, he joked it was all about the money, adding “Yes, if the bag is right.”

He added to The Sun: “The weather is sensational too. Waking up just wearing a T-shirt is fun – no trousers, just the T-shirt.”

Mo in the Jimmy Fallon role on ‘That’s My Jam’ will see the host interview celebrity guests and front trivia-based games and musical performances.

The original NBC show drew inspiration from musical segments on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, with signature games including ‘Launch the Mic’, ‘Air Guitar’, ‘Don’t Drop the Beat’ and ‘Slay It, Don’t Spray It’.

Universal Television Alternative Studio President Toby Gorman told Deadline: “Jimmy has big shoes to step into and Mo completely owned it. “The series feels completely bespoke to a UK audience.”
