The 33-year-old comedian - who is currently a panellist on ITV’s ‘The Masked Singer’ – has set his sights on fronting the BBC programme, which has been running since 1979 is currently presented by Fiona Bruce, because it's his "greatest TV show".

Mo is quoted by The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column as saying: “I really wanna do 'Antiques Roadshow'.

“I am so intrigued to just be there while someone’s thing is getting valued. It is my favourite part of the show.

“The 'Antiques Roadshow' is a gem. I wanna see some young people with heirlooms, like ‘Where did you get this from?’ And they are like ‘Bruv, my grandad died. I need to know how much it is as I have got to pay the rent.

“That and 'Homes Under the Hammer'. That is my greatest TV show.”

'Antiques Roadshow' features antique appraisers who travel down to various regions of the UK to appraise and evaluate antiques brought in by members of the public.

Mo is to host this year's BRIT Awards with Mastercard, and the TV presenter is donating his fee to charity.

He wrote on Instagram this week: "Last year I had the year of my life it was amazing so I’m starting how I finished, I’m starting it by hosting the 2022 @brits award & I’m extremely excited to be donating my @brits fee to @fivexmore_.

"They do amazing work in the community and when the spotlight is on me it’s only right I shine it on others. Give these ladies a follow to see the ammazing work they do for maternal health. (sic)"
