The 30-year-old star teamed up with TV presenter Ranvir Singh during the most-recent series of the show, but Giovanni has admitted he'd be open to being partnered with another man.

He said: "It's not down to me, but if the production people come to me and said, 'Listen Giovanni, we'd love you to be partnered with a man' I'd say 'yes'.

"I am more than ready to be partnered with a man.

"It would give me a chance to challenge myself with new routines, you have to think more about it. I love challenging myself."

Ranvir, 43, previously admitted she'd love to see Giovanni partnered with Piers Morgan - her 'Good Morning Britain' co-star - on the BBC show.

Asked about the suggestion, Giovanni told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I think Piers is a fantastic person. I really respect him. I would love to see him on the dancefloor."

'Strictly's 2020 series was filmed amid the coronavirus pandemic, meaning that various rules and regulations needed to be put in place to ensure the safety of the contestants.

Now, Giovanni has revealed he'd happily take the coronavirus vaccine if the BBC introduced a strict policy.

He said: "The priority for me and for us and for the BBC especially is to be safe and if we have to work in environments when you have to dance and get close to somebody and a vaccine was required to be safe for everybody, then why not?"

The professional star insisted he wouldn't hesitate to get the vaccine.

He explained: "Why would we put people at risk only because we don't want to have a vaccine? It's obviously not my place to give any medical advice to the BBC but of course I would do it."
