'The Great British Bake Off' boss Kieran Smith has criticised the show's previous presenting team.

The hugely popular cooking programme made the switch from the BBC to Channel 4 last year, and Kieran has argued that the programme has been made better because of its new hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding and new judge Prue Leith who has joined Paul Hollywood as the top taster.
He said: "One of the reasons that we were a success is that Prue took on the role of Mary [Berry] and improved on that role.
"Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig took on the role of Mel [Giedroyc] and Sue [Perkins] and improved on that role, and Paul Hollywood took on the role of Paul - and improved on that role."
Consequently, Kieran believes that the new-look line-up has helped to make the show discernibly better than before.
He told The Sun newspaper: "In fact, the whole series was better than we managed before."
Meanwhile, Paul recently admitted he was "horrified" when Prue revealed 'The Great British Bake Off' winner before the final had aired.
The 52-year-old chef's co-star made a major error when she tweeted that Sophie Faldo had prevailed in the finale, nearly 12 hours before the episode aired.
He said: "What can I say? I was horrified. But at the same time, she made a mistake."
Prue blamed her erroneous tweet on the time difference, explaining that she was in Bhutan when she wrote at the time.
She tweeted: "I am so sorry to the fans of the show for my mistake this morning, I am in a different time zone and mortified by my error #GBBO. (sic)"
