Guy Ritchie could be set for another huge pay day as Netflix is reportedly in talks to renew his gangster comedy-drama series ‘The Gentlemen’

The ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ director, 55, delivered a hit for the streamer with the first run of the show, which started on March 7, and has since racked up 44 million views.

A TV insider told The Sun about how Netflix bosses are already ready to green light its second series: “It’s going to be quite a challenge getting the same actors back together, but Netflix chiefs are keen for a sequel.

“Another hurdle will be securing Guy for the series as he already has several movie projects in the pipeline this year.

“But the success of series one has already convinced them there’s huge potential for a follow-up.”

The show – a spin-off from Guy’s 2019 gangster film of the same name – stars Ray Winstone, 67, as a gang lord as well as film hard man Vinnie Jones, 59, who starred in Guy’s ‘Lock, Stock’ as a loyal groundskeeper.

Other cast members included Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Daniel Ings.

As well as starring in Guy’s 1998 breakout film ‘Lock, Stock’, ex-footballer Vinnie featured in the director’s follow-up to the movie, ‘Snatch’, in 2000, alongside Brad Pitt.

Ray was cast in ‘The Gentlemen’ despite his long-running feud with Guy, which the actor last month revealed had been dragging on for decades.

The ‘Sexy Beast’ actor, who plays west London gangster Bobby Glass in the Netflix show, admitted they fell out years ago before eventually making up.

Ray told Virgin Radio’s ‘Chris Evans Breakfast Show’: “We had words years ago – a fallout.

“I was going to do (Guy’s 1998 film) ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ and it didn’t happen for whatever reason.

“And I thought he was in the wrong and he probably thought I was in the wrong.

“Fisticuffs never came about, thank God. Over the years we snubbed one another but then you grow up.

“We had a meet and had a little cuddle and a chat about it. And he is a good guy.

“All those wasted years… .”
