The 57-year-old star had relationships with the likes of Kiss rocker Paul Stanley before realising she was "definitely gay" and married manager Myra Stratton but after she died following a battle with cancer in 2015, Sam admitted that she hadn't even thought about looking for somebody new until she met fan Linda Olsen, and the pair tied the knot in 2022.

She told new! magazine: "I guess growing up, I wasn't sure and thought maybe I was just having 'a moment'. But then you'd have a few of those and think, 'Oh, I might be gay.' The more experiences I had with women, the more I definitely knew that I was. Linda was in a relationship, and I was looking after Myra, who was terminally ill. It was traumatic, knowing I was going to lose Myra. I couldn't think about anything else during those times. The last thing I thought about was finding someone new. But Linda and I met when she came along to a meet-and-greet event in Oslo. I realised she was absolutely gorgeous, inside" and out. We had an instant connection."

"I love being married.

Since her heyday as a Page 3 girl for The Sun and 1990s pop singer, the 'Touch Me (I Want Your Body)' hitmaker has carved out a successful career in television with appearances on ' I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' and 'Celebrity Big Brother', and will soon be seen on 'Celebrity Masterchef' but is excited to see how her "rollercoaster life" will be depicted on-screen in a new TV drama.

She added: "It's going to be amazing. It'll be big, fast, colourful... with plenty of ups and downs. It'll be emotional and funny. I've had an exciting life - it's been a roller coaster!"

Samantha is keen for BAFTA Award-winning actress Sheridan Smith - who famously portrayed late TV legend Cilla Black in ITV drama series 'Cilla' and played comedienne Fanny Brice in a West End production of 'Funny Girl' - to play an older version of herself, but wants to find a newcomer to play the younger version.

She told the Daily Star: "I would love for Sheridan to just say yes. I'm working on it. She would be perfect. I want to find a rising star to play my younger self and Sheridan Smith in my 30s."

Around the same time, an insider claimed that the "wheels are in motion" for the upcoming drama, and it is hoped that it could be filmed before the year is out.

A source said: "There have been a lot of meetings and there are wheels in motion. A date for filming has been set, but it's hoped it could be before the end of the year."
