The broadcaster will share clips of archived celebrity interviews from shows such as 'The Jonathan Ross Show', 'Lorraine' and 'This Morning' on the dedicated channel.

ITV told The Sun: "We have unlocked the ITV Studios catalogue and trawled the depths of the archive to bring you this exciting new channel."

The channel officially launches on May 1 via www.youtube.com/@celebsupclose.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Ross previously admitted he's “glad” he has never interviewed a member of the Royal Family

The ‘Masked Singer’ judge and talk show host is keen to not “get involved” with all their drama but has nothing but nice things about the royals, having "met them all".

The 63-year-old star told the Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “I’ve never interviewed anyone in the royal family and at the moment I’m quite glad that’s the case. I don’t want to get involved in other people’s business. I’ve met them all, though.

“I met the Queen several times, which always felt very special. Prince Philip was always quite funny. I think I met Harry briefly. I’ve met William a lot. I haven’t met Kate. I have met Andrew but we don’t talk about that any more. Charles I’ve met loads of times, and Camilla is a laugh.”

The comedian has invited celebrity guests to bare all on his eponymous talk show since 2011.

Jonathan has been competing with rival chat show host Graham Norton, 61, for years, and previously claimed his fellow TV presenter is ahead of the game in terms of booking movie stars.

He previously said of 'The Graham Norton Show' host: "I think Graham gets first bite of film guests.

"Some stars prefer his show over mine because they're less protected on my programme. If they go on Graham's, three guests all sit together on the sofa."
