ITV has "no plans" for a new series of 'Birds of a Feather'.

The sitcom returned for a Christmas special last year as Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph reunited, but their co-star Pauline Quirke decided against returning for the festive special, and there are no proposals in place for a new run of episodes.

A show source told RadioTimes.com: "There are no current plans for a new series."

The show told the story of sisters Tracey Stubbs (Linda) and Sharon Theodopolopodous (Pauline) who live together in Essex, next to their neighbour Dorien Green (Lesley), after the siblings' husbands were sent to prison for armed robbery.

And despite last year's Christmas special attracting 7.9 million viewers, ITV are yet to commission a new 'BOAF' series.

A source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: "Without Pauline, the view is that there is no 'Birds of a Feather'.

"You cannot have Tracey without Sharon, and there is no way Pauline will be going back.

"Linda and Lesley gave it a go but, despite the figures being good, ITV won't be recommissioning it."

Last week, it was revealed Linda and Lesley were in talks for a new reality show about them fulfilling their life’s ambitions by ticking off a "bucket list" of weird and wacky wishes.

Lesley, 75, dubbed the show: "Ten things to do before we pop our clogs."

Linda said: "Lesley’s got loads of things on her list and top of the list for me is doing a duet with Elton John. I’d also like to go to Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and be in the background on the stage as I’ve seen people performing there.

"And I want to do a crowd dive too. You know, jumping into a crowd of people from the front of a stage and they catch me and pass me around."
