The 35-year-old reality star took part in the Channel 4 military-style survival show but quit from the series in the episode aired on Sunday (22.10,23) and has now admitted that he "broke down" like never before and felt "completely done" with the challenge.

He told OK! Magazine: "I know in my heart that was the right time to leave because I had given it 110 per cent and I had nothing left, I was completely done. I know I was done, physically and mentally. And it got to a point where I was at the back, I just couldn't keep up and I had pushed myself to the very limit.

"I got beasted and I was just a broken man, and I'll be honest with you, even all that I've been through I've never really cried or been a crier but I basically had a breakdown and I cried like I've never cried before, I broke down."

However, the former 'TOWIE' star - who competed on the show along with the likes of former MP Matt Hancock, model Danielle Lloyd, and 'Pop Idol' star Gareth Gates - went on to insist that he took his time on the series "very seriously" and is still proud of his achievements.

He said: "That was after my bag was given in and I went to the doctor just before I exited the camp and I literally broke down. Don't get me wrong, if I was to go in there a year later I probably would have done even better because I'm a lot fitter and stronger now than what I was. But I did the best I could for where I was, I couldn't have done any better at the time, I took it very seriously and worked hard.

"The fact that I even got the opportunity to do the show in the first place and pass the medical from where I was, was just an amazing win and achievement in itself.

"The way I feel about SAS is how I feel about the London Marathon, I'm very proud and honoured to say I've done it and it's a bucket list thing, but if you ever said to me, would you ever do it again? I would say absolutely not, under no circumstance nor money.

"Everyone asks me, so is it really that bad? But it's just as bad, if not even worse than what you see on TV."
