The 37-year-old singer will return to screens as a coach on the ITV singing competition on Saturday (05.01.19) night, and has said she got "upset" with her fellow coach Olly during the show, because although they're friends off-screen, he "stabbed her in the back" when it came to battling for their acts on the show.

She said: "I did get upset with Olly. He really gave it to me. I thought he was my friend. We had a proper falling out.

"He gets me cookies and sends me text messages, but then it turns out he's battling against me. He just stabbed me in the back, it was so painful.

"I said we weren't friends any more. It did get really ugly. I couldn't believe he went that low to do me over like that to me."

And 'Troublemaker' singer Olly, 34, says he felt "genuinely upset" by the exchange, and went to apologise to Jennifer as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper at 'The Voice' launch, he said: "I genuinely felt upset. I went to speak to her afterwards. I said 'oh Jen, that was a good battle' and she just grunted.

"I sold my soul. I lost everything to get that person. I was laying down the law."

The pair remained tight lipped on which act it was they were fighting over, but it seems Olly came out on top.

Jennifer and the former 'X Factor' finalist will be rejoined on the show by fellow coaches Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am, as well as host Emma Willis, when the first episode airs on Saturday.
