The ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ host, 63, has been dating model Lisa Hogan, 51, since 2017 and she has now revealed the 6ft 4in-tall host was so uncomfortable she stood at 6ft 2in in her shoes he stuck on the footwear to increase his height.

Lisa was quoted by the Daily Star saying: "We'd just started dating and he was going to meet some incredibly good friends of mine.

"He gets these disgusting, really long, pointed Cuban hells.

"I go, 'You're not wearing those.' And he goes, 'I am, because I'm taller.'"

The couple have been the heart and soul of Amazon's 'Clarkson's Farm' series, which documents the turbulent experiences Jeremy has as a farmer in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire.

The show has proved to be a smash-hit for the streaming platform, with a third season currently in the works.

When 'The Grand Tour' star was asked why he thought the programme was such a success during an interview with South West Farmer, Jeremy said: "The show came out shortly after the Covid pandemic, and around that time a lot of people toyed with the idea of moving from the city to the countryside.

"There have been countryside programmes before, of course, but they tend to be quite twee.

"I really like (nature presenter) Kate Humble and people who do that kind of thing, so I don’t want to have a go, but people think of the countryside as a new-born lamb and fresh straw in a lovely, old barn. And I think my programme has shown the reality."

The 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' presenter also praised his partner for being so stoic and willing to help out with the mundane farm tasks: "Nobody would ever call Lisa down-to-earth, but if you had seen her yesterday – it was absolutely sluicing it down, and blowing such a gale and my tractor, which is not small, was being buffeted by the winds.

"And the two of us were out, making this fence on the highest part of the bleakest, most wind-set part of the farm."
