The 36-year-old former footballer confirmed on 'GMB' on Tuesday (04.07.23) that she will be the new Blue Team captain for the Sky quiz show.

Former 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' winner Jill will also report on the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, which is taking place in Australia and New Zealand from July 20th, for 'GMB', as the Lionesses look to go one better following their Euro 2022 win last year.

Jill - who came on as a sub in the Euros final when England beat Germany - said on 'GMB': "I'm so excited, obviously, to be out there and hopefully giving people back home a little bit of an insight into what's going on in the games and behind the scenes.

"The fans were the reason that we brought that Euros trophy home [last year] so I really feel like the fans can make the difference.

"So with the time difference, hopefully I can provide a little bit of a connection and a good relationship between the fans and the players."

Jill is confident England can go all the way and win the World Cup.

She said: "I really do believe that we will be the best prepared team going out there and I still believe that we can do it.

"It's a new journey for The Lionesses, I think there's six or seven new faces from the last tournament but with the girls like this behind them, from the Northeast, from the whole country, I really feel we can bring that World Cup back.

"I believe we can do it."
