Julian Clary wants to host his own chat show.

The potty-mouthed comedian - who is currently a panellist on ITV's 'Your Face Sounds Familiar' - wants to broaden his career path and set up his own programme in a laid-back theatre environment with a string of celebrity guests making an appearance.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "I'd like to do a more relaxed, less formatted show. The plan is to do it in a theatre and that's one thing I haven't done. I've done sitcoms, my own show, a talent show. Never a chat show."

Julian - who is known for his witty ways and truthful comments - admits he has a number of stars lined up for the potential show and believes he could pose as their counsellor as he has the ability to squeeze out juicy gossip from anyone.

He explained: "I'd like to talk to Cilla Black. I'd like to talk to everyone from Sir Ian McKellen to Andy Murray. I'm very good at counselling my friends and coming up with solutions to their problems. Even if they don't want to talk, I'll winkle it out of them."
