The ‘Ted Lasso’ star, 49, performed a mock introduction to the programme in March when she was on the show to be interviewed by co-hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, after which some fans called for the actress to land a more permanent presenting role on the programme.

While Hannah has now made it clear she does not want to be tied down with a permanent job on the show, she would love to "dip in here and there".

When asked on TalkTV if she would be up for hosting the show, she said: “I’d like to dip in here and there. I’m happy with what I’m doing.”

Her comments come after her agent was reportedly approached by ITV bosses about Hannah possibly landing a position on the show, following Holly Willoughby's exit in October.

The source told The Sun newspaper: “Hannah is a huge Hollywood star and would, of course, be welcome on the This Morning sofa.

“Some conversations with her team were had in the summer to see what her availability might be.

"But since then, she’s obviously become even more in demand so, realistically, will not replace Holly Willoughby in the new year.”

Holly stunned fans in October when she quit 'This Morning', just days after it was announced she was taking an "extended break" from the show after a man appeared in court in Essex over an alleged plot to kidnap her.

She wrote on Instagram at the time: "I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.

To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we've done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you."
