The 'Emmerdale' actress admitted it was "a relief" to hear her father had got his jab because he is her "world" and suffers from heart problems and type 2 diabetes.

She said: "I cried when my dad had the vaccine - that's all the medicine I need.

"With his type 2 diabetes and heart problems, it's a relief.

"Everyone knows Dad is just my world. The only thing he needs in life is his grandchildren."

Lisa - who plays Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap - admitted it is "killing [her]" that she hasn't been able to see her niece and nephews since Christmas due to coronavirus restrictions.

She added to Best magazine: "It's personally killing me as well, having not seen my niece and nephews since Christmas.

"FaceTime is great, but it's not the same, is it?

"It's got to the stage every day, you just think, 'When is this going to be over?'

"Surely we're getting closer now ... I don't want to miss out on any more family birthdays."

In September, Lisa - whose Dales character Mandy looks set to get married next week - admitted she felt as though she was already married to her real-life fiance Al after spending months together in lockdown.

She said: "I always said lockdown was a sign. If you spend all those months together and don't kill each other then you probably want to be together.

"I was like, 'Should we get married?' But it's like we already are."
