The 'Emmerdale' actress has admitted she and her fiancé Al could tie the knot in the spare bedroom if a second coronavirus wave hits the UK and sends the nation into lockdown once again, after the virus delayed her wedding plans.

She said: "My filming schedule runs until September, so, pre-lockdown, I knew there was never going to be a wedding before that.

"Al will be 50 in November and hopefully we will be away for his birthday, although if we do have another lockdown, [the service] will probably have to be in the spare bedroom with a few balloons.

"We might have a Zoom wedding online. Can you imagine Al in his joggers and me in my full Sweaty Betty?

"Nobody would be offended if we did that and there would be no leaking of photographs."

But the 43-year-old star admitted the pandemic has made her "live for the moment" more, and she doesn't plan as much as she used to nowadays.

Speaking to Closer magazine, she added: "But this pandemic has made me live for the moment and taught me not to plan.

"Now I think it doesn't matter if you're not going to get a certain wedding venue that you wanted.

"It's really enough to have each other."

Lisa recently resumed filming on 'Emmerdale' - on which she stars as Mandy Dingle - for one of the soap's special lockdown episodes, and she felt safer on the set than in her own home.

She said: "It was eerily quiet. The whole of the building and the volume of people that's normally there were just not there. However, safety-wise, have they got on the extra mile. I feel safer at work than I do in my own home or at the supermarket.

"The production team have gone that extra mile. Our head of production, he must have been working 24 hours a day coming up with this system of how to keep it so safe."
