Lucy Mecklenburgh has left her role on 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The brunette stunner told bosses of the ITV2 reality show she wants to leave after shooting scenes for the Christmas special last week, and she is thought to have grown tired of producers being "obsessed" with her past relationship with co-star Mario Falcone.
A source said: "Lucy has loved her time in 'TOWIE' but she is ready to move on.
"10 series is a lot for anyone. The show seemed obsessed with raking up the past and all Lucy wants to do is look to the future."
Lucy is keen to concentrate on her BootyCamp with Lucy fitness enterprise as well as her modelling and she is hoping to launch a film career in Los Angeles.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Her fitness business BootyCamp With Lucy has really taken off and she wants to devote more time to that.
"Lucy loves LA. The lifestyle over there is what she dreams of.
"And she fits in really well, with her healthy body and beautiful face.
"LA is what Essex longs to be. She's very excited about the future."
Speaking about Mario, Lucy's friend said: "He's been holding her back.
"She wants to get on with her new opportunities."
Despite quitting the show, the 22-year-old beauty is expected to enter negotiations with 'TOWIE' bosses about whether or not to film an exit storyline at the beginning of series 11.
An ITV source said: "We're sad to see Lucy leave but we're really excited about developing our new characters."
Lucy took to Twitter this morning (04.12.13) to comment but neither confirm nor denied the story, appearing to be too distracted by extremely painful toothache and a bad night's sleep.
In a series of tweets, she wrote: "Oh u gotta love a 'SOURCE QUOTE' .. Haaaa.
"Worst night sleep ever!! Wisdom toothache & nightmares!! Should u still get nightmares at 22!? (sic)"
