The 45-year-old TV presenter - who starred alongside the likes of Michael Buerk and eventual winner Carl 'Foggy' Fogarty on last year's 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' - has revealed she's eager to try her hand in the kitchen and thinks her can-do attitude is ideal for the BBC One show.

Asked if she'd like to participate on another reality TV programme, Mel exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I like 'Masterchef' - I think that's a good show and that'd be quite challenging. And I'd probably learn something, so I'd quite like that. But none of the other shows appeal to me."

Mel is confident she'd serve up some tasty dishes on 'MasterChef', but also admitted she'd need to improve her presentation skills.

She shared: "I'm not very good at making things look beautiful on a plate. But I can cook, so things taste nice.

"I always look at when they go into a kitchen in a hotel or a restaurant, I always think I'd be bloody good in a kitchen because I'm a grafter. I take orders very well and I've got a very logical thought process.

"So I think I'd be an asset in a kitchen. Making things beautiful, that's not really my forte - but I suppose you'd learn that."

Meanwhile, Mel also revealed she recently bumped into her former jungle buddy Carl while they were both staying in the same hotel in Marbella, Spain.

However, she said Carl failed to recognise her as she was "looking gorgeous".

She recalled: "I actually bumped into Foggy in Marbella. We were staying at the same hotel and that was a bit weird.

"He actually didn't recognise me at first. It was hilarious, I was staring at him. But he hasn't seen me looking gorgeous, he's seen me with the hair. He was thinking, 'Who's this Dorris here?' It was me!"
