Michael McIntyre is said to be struggling in the hunt for celebrities to appear on his new chat show.
The 37-year-old comedian is set to interview three guests a week on 'The Michael McIntyre Chat Show' on BBC One but it seems he hasn't been able to convince Hollywood A-listers to join him.
On Monday January 27 he told guests at a surprise gig: "I'm trying to get guests. I have sent emails to lots of famous people I don't know and they haven't got back to me. You have to help me ... Who is funny?"
Audience members suggested Micky Flanagan, however, Michael isn't keen on sharing the sofa with other comedians.
Michael added: "I am not getting comedians on the show.
"I am hoping to provide some of the comedy myself. But I love Micky ... I would love to have him on my show. Maybe I will. "
Michael is working on new material and is hoping he'll be inspired soon.
He explained: "I am working on it now. It starts soon, which is why I have to try and perform again.
"That is why I am here and I am literally scratching my head and hoping my brain wakes up."
The gig was a chance for Alan Carr to try out material he'd prepared for his forthcoming tour and Michael was a surprise guest.
Michael is set to earn £500,000 for six episodes of his new chat show - which equals £83,000 per episode.
