Michelle Dockery doesn't want 'Downton Abbey' to end.

The 31-year-old actress - who plays Lady Mary Crawley in the ITV hit drama series - admits that she will feel lost and incomplete if the award-winning programme ever came to a close because she dedicates so much of her life to it.

Speaking in an interview with Harper's Bazaar magazine, she said: "There's a part of me that doesn't want it to end, because I love it so much... and once it's all over, I'm sure there will be a period when I feel slightly at a loss.

"It's like this love affair that I have with my job."

Lady Mary Crawley has become a big hit with both UK and US viewers, but the brunette beauty insists she hasn't taken fame too seriously, which has allowed her to remain level headed.

She explained: "It's very easy in this business to take things a little too seriously or yourself too seriously, and I grew up learning how to laugh at myself."

The full interview appears in the August issue of Harper's Bazaar, on sale from July 4th. Also available as a digital edition.
