Molly Rainford on why she may be losing votes

The 22-year-old star has reached the final of the BBC Latin and ballroom competition along with her professional partner Carlos Gu where she will face 'Blue Peter' presenter Helen Skelton and 'Countryfile' host Hamza Yassin but believes that her musical training could be why she has received fewer votes than her co-stars, even though she did "very little" dancing at stage school.

She said: "I think, potentially, [my training] could have been a factor. I've never had any confidence in dance at school. And the beauty of going to a theatre school meant that I could work while I was there. I did 'Friday Download' when I was at school, CBBC and loads of different things."

The former 'Britain's Got Talent' star went on to add that while in school she was doing a lot of songrwriting sessions but admitted the notion that her background could be a "factor" in the voting figures before revealing that following her time on the show she would "love" to land a part in a musical.

She told the Radio Times: "And also, because I am a singer, I was doing a lot of writing sessions on those days where we did get vocational, so I wasn't missing out on academics, but I feel like, yeah, I feel like maybe it's a factor. But I think there's so many different levels on this show. So could it be anything. I'd love to do something in theatre because I love to sing, I love to act, so I guess dance is that kind of final tick for that one"
