The 'Great British Bake Off' champion - who recently whipped up Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday cake - has landed her own two-part documentary 'The Chronicles of Nadiya'.

Taking to her Twitter account this afternoon (26.04.16), she tweeted: "It's true Chronicles of Nadiya! So excited to share my journey with everyone ...#chroniclesofnadiya. (sic)"

The baking expert, who dazzled Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood with her mouth-watering treats on the cooking show last year, will take viewers on a trip from her hometown of Luton to Bangladesh as she traces her family's culinary roots.

Patrick Holland, who commissioned the forthcoming show for the BBC, said in a statement: "Nadiya's story on 'Bake Off' touched the hearts of the nation. We are delighted that she will be using her cooking skills to take us on a journey to such an extraordinary and changing land."

The brunette beauty will pick up new recipes, attempt to recreate them from scratch and make her own favourites.

Meanwhile, Nadiya hit the headlines last week when she was chosen by the royal family to create the Queen's sponge in celebration of her 90th birthday on April 21.

But, while the monarch seemed happy with the three-tier masterpiece featuring butter cream and marmalade, fans weren't overly impressed with the wonky creation.
