Natalie Imbruglia would never say never to the idea of a Neighbours return

The 48-year-old star got her big break playing Beth Brennan in the Australian soap opera in the early 1990s before carving out a career as a pop singer but made a return to the show's finale in 2022 alongside other famous faces such as Holly Candy and Kylie Minogue but had no idea the series would be revived by Amazon Freevee later this year and would consider going back, especially somce Hollywood actor Guy Pearce has confirmed that he will be returning to the show.

Speaking on ITV's 'Good Morning Britain', she said: "I hope so, Guy's phenomenal. Never say never, they haven't approached me but Guy Pearce is going back then I'd love to do something with Guy. I wonder if we knew when they shot that it was coming back, we didn't know anything about this re-emergence of 'Neighbours.'

"But it was actually Holly Candy who said 'Are you doing this thing?' and I said 'I will if you will.' We weren't even on the show together so it was so fun to do with her and obviously, it made no sense but it was the final episode and it was just about saying thank you to the show because that's where my career started."

The 'Torn' hitmaker went on to add that while in the US the soap opera is not very well known, she was once surprised to find the show playing in Nigeria.

She added: Natalie Imbruglia reveals if she would go back to Neighbours"When I was in America songwriting, 'and they didn't know what 'Neighbours' was so that was that experience but then I had an experience where I was in Nigeria in a hotel room and 'Neighbours' came on and I rang my mum and said 'This show is everywhere!' I think in the UK, they know me for both, which is lovely."
