Netflix offers a wide range of exciting shows, and Sex Education is one of the streaming services’ most popular series. The show focuses on sex, as you may have guessed, and how awkward it can be to learn about it with your classmates; especially when your mum is a sex therapist...

Sex Education follows Otis (Asa Butterfield), a shy young lad whose mother Jean (Gillian Anderson) is a sex therapist and, when people at school find out, he tries to turn that into a positive.

Being something of an expert due to the classes at school and his mother’s openness on the topic, Otis decides to team up with intelligent bad-girl Maeve (Emma Mackey) to open a clandestine clinic for their friends to hash out their sexual problems; but as it turns out, Otis might need a little therapy of his own.

Seaosn three will start a new year at Moordale, where Otis is casually having sex, Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam (Connor Swindells) are officially an item, and Jean is pregnant with a new baby.

The school now has a new head teacher named Hope (Jemima Kirke), who will seemingly stop at nothing to return the school to a beacon of perfection; but will she succeed?

Also in the upcoming season, Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood) is set to discover feminism, Jackson (Kedar Williams-Sterling) gets a crush, and a long-lost voicemail still looms...

Seaosn three of Sex Education will be a chaotic blunder of commitment, aliens, vulva cupcakes, and so much more.

To promote the exciting new season, Netflix has released a trailer not for the show, but for Moordale itself as an in-world advert for the school.

We see new character Hope try her hand at managing Moordale with unbridled enthusiasm and optimism, something that might not last too long. Maeve simply does not want to be involved (which isn’t surprising), and some students are simply following a script.

The advert seems to be mimicking, or even mocking, videos similar to itself as many schools in Britain create advertisements for their school which, sometimes, can’t be taken seriously – not by the students anyway.

It is a rather unique and funny way to promote the show, given that it’s set in a school. The advert shows us what Hope feels to be the best parts of the school, and we see cast members we recognise which means that we can look forward to seeing Otis, Maeve, Adam and more in the upcoming season.

The phrase “Choose Moordale” is repeated by some positive students, and by Maeve who begs you to pick the school so “this can end”, which is right on-brand for her.

Sex Education’s Moordale Secondary school will reopen its doors on September 17th, 2021!
