Nick Hewer is hoping to present his own travel show, after quitting The Apprentice following a decade by Lord Alan Sugar's side.

Keen to take charge of a programme that'll see him working in a hot country in the winter months, Nick admits he's a big fan of exploring the globe.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he revealed: "I had said I was going to use the opportunity of leaving 'The Apprentice' to lessen my work-load, but I'm beginning to think about what I'd like to do, if anyone would want me.

"I would love to do a travel show, a leisurely travel show to go somewhere warm in the winter.

"Yes, a bit of travel TV, as I'm naturally interested in foreign places and people.

"I do actually have a couple of trips planned already - I'm in the planning stages now for a trip to Japan, where I'll be island hopping."

Already with plans for the three months he'd usually film The Apprentice, he's pleased to have some free time but is "grateful" to the show.

"I allocated that period of time that we're usually filming to travel to Southeast Asia and the Far East - those 12 weeks, all that time is my own now, it will be wonderful! And it was of course made possible by being on 'The Apprentice', but then resigning from it! I'm very grateful for that."

Nick's also found time to promote CV Day today - January 23 - which, according to the latest study on work-life balance from the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smartphone, is the busiest job hunting day of the year, and he has encouraged job-seekers to be truthful on their resumés.

He said: "I don't remember when I last had a CV, maybe 1966. I tend to tell the truth.

"I hope I was truthful, you're always found out if you're fibbing."

The new research is the latest study on work-life balance from the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smartphone, which has been specifically designed to aid both work and play.
