Pam St. Clement is to guest-star in 'Casualty'.
The 74-year-old actress hasn't been seen on screen properly since she bowed out of 'EastEnders' in 2012 but is set to make a guest appearance in the medical drama's 30th anniversary episode as "grumpy" patient Sally Hodge.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper about her new role, she said: "She's an unfortunate woman because of her emotional baggage and she doesn't always come over as being very nice. But it was a nice complicated character to play - very condensed. The episode is mostly about the regular cast and the amazing things that are done within 'Casualty', but it was a privilege to play a guest role within this incredible episode for the 30th anniversary."
The legendary star is remaining tight-lipped on her character's storyline but has teased her grouchy alter-ego will make "hell" for nurse Charlie Fairhead (Derek Thompson).
She explained: "The effects they have there are absolutely fantastic. Most of the scenes I had were with Derek Thompson and with a bit of luck we absolutely clicked."
Meanwhile, Pam is no stranger to ruffling a few feathers on screen as she was known for portraying feisty Pat Butcher in the soap for 26 years until her death four years ago.
However, she briefly reprised her role as the big earring-loving lady last month when she appeared as the ghost of Pat during Peggy Mitchell's (Barbara Windsor) death.
'Casualty's 30th anniversary episode will air later this month.
