Peter Capaldi is like a rock star, according to Doctor Who co-star Jenna Coleman.

The 56-year-old actor is the latest star to play the titular Time Lord and Coleman - who plays the role of companion Clara Oswald in the BBC One sci-fi show - insists Capaldi is the ideal candidate for the iconic role because he's so "cool".

Speaking to fans at a Q&A session in Seoul, South Korea, Coleman - who appeared opposite Capaldi's predecessor Matt Smith - said: "Peter doesn't need advice. Look at him, he's cool. Very cool. We feel like The Beatles at the moment."

Asked which of the band they are most similar to, Capaldi quipped: "George and Ringo. I'm George."

As if to further this perception, Capaldi took the opportunity to bust out a few dance moves as he and Coleman, 28, were joined on stage by South Korean boy band ZE:A.

The Q&A - part of the 'Doctor Who World Tour' to promote the new series - marked the first time a current 'Doctor Who' star has visited South Korea and many fans chose to mark the special occasion - which sold out in just two minutes - by dressing as their favourite on-screen characters.

Capaldi and Coleman even brought the TARDIS time machine to the historic Bosingak bell at the National Museum of Korea to mark the trip.

They also got to enjoy a special screening of the first episode of series 8, 'Deep Breath', which is to air on BBC One on Saturday, August 23.

The 'Doctor Who World Tour' next heads to Sydney (Australia) and has several other international stops before finishing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on August 19.
