Laura Hamilton says keeping positive is important to her

The 41-year-old TV star confessed that life after divorcing her husband of 13 years, Alex is “tough” but needs to stay “strong” for their two kids , daughter Tahlia, eight, and son Rocco, nine, but knows it is important not to be a “robot” emotionally.

She told Hello! magazine: “You say ‘content, but I have moments when I feel this is tough, this is hard, this is not what I expected my life to be. But I’m a glass half-full person and I have to be positive. I have to be strong. Am I making the best of the situation as I can right now? Yes, 100 per cent. But I do get sad because things went the way they did. I might look like everything is fine all the time and that’s how things come across on media media, but no I’d be a robot if I didn’t have those emotions.

“Do I let myself cry? Yes, all the time. And I encourage Rocco and Tahlia to always share their feelings. It is better to talk and let the emotions out than bottle up.

The 'A Place in the Sun' host admitted that she and her ex are “super proud” of their two offspring and she is enjoying getting to know them before the grow up.

She said: “I think I’m at the loveliest stage with them. They blow my mind. In a couple of years, I guess there’ll be more attitude and then the teenage years!

“Tahlia is an amazing gymnast and Rocco loves going to football academy. They both enjoy school and Alex and I are super proud of them.”

The blonde beauty dubbed her ex-co-star on the Channel 4 property show Jonnie Irwin, 49 - who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2020 - “incredible” and gets health updates from their colleague Jasmine Harman, 47.

Laura said: “He is one of the most incredible people that I have met. Jas speaks to him regularly and she lets me know how he is doing.”
