Ray Quinn is doing 'Dancing on Ice' again to become a role model for his son.

The 25-year-old singer - who won the skating competition in 2009 - would love to be crowd the ultimate winner of the 'DoI' series, which kicks off next month, and is hopeful that he can inspire his 15-month-old son Harry.

He said: "I was buzzing and so happy when I got the call inviting me back. I had said to my wife ages ago that I would love to go on it again and so now I am, it's as if I had read my own fortune!

"I am going into the show as a different person. I am a dad now and so I am coming at it from a different perspective. I know he is only 15 months old but it will be nice to see his face when I am skating. I am trying to start creating a role model for him."

The former 'X-Factor' star is thrilled to be reunited with his original partner Maria Fillipov but admits his determination to be crowned the winner is "his own worst enemy".

He said: "I really do hope I can win. Everything I have learnt I am going to put into it. Everyone wants to win. I have been competing all my life and this is another competition for me. I am going to give it my all!"

"This time, I do want to attack a bit more. I want to be more daring and I really want to soak everything up. I want to get my edges and steps right. I want to look smooth on the ice and every hour I can get in between being a dad, husband and everything else, I am putting into skating."
