'X Factor' hopeful Relley Clarke has said she thinks the judge for her 'Girls' category - Nicole Scherzinger - made a huge mistake when she got rid of Lydia Lucy.

Relley - who was chosen to go through to the Judge's Houses stage of the competition with Abi Alton, Tamera Foster, Hannah Barrett, Jade Richards and Melanie McCabe reckons Nicole made a blunder when she kicked Lydia off one of the six coveted Boot Camp chairs on Saturday night (28.9.13).

The 20-year-old hopeful was initially selected as one of Nicole's top six but when Abi wowed the brunette beauty with a rendition of Whitney Houston's hit 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' the judge opted to swap one of her six contestants for the 19-year-old star as part of the show's new Boot Camp twist.

Relley exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "The one shock for me was Lydia. I love Abi to bits, I think she deserved to get a seat but I don't think they should've swapped Lydia with Abi. I don't think that should've happened.

"I think Lydia and Abi should both have been in those seats."

While Relley is enjoying her 'X Factor' experience after progressing to Nicole's Judges' Houses in Antigua, she admits the Boot Camp seat twist was "awful".

She added: "I would not wish that experience on my worst enemy. It was awful. I never want to sit on a seat again!

"It's a very dramatic experience, it's something none of us are going to forget.

"As a contestant you just don't know what to expect. We only got told about the whole seat situation the day before. But at the moment I'm enjoying my experience on the show."

Nicole eventually whittled her wannabes down to six but halfway through the process she left her seat on the panel to head backstage to warn the waiting female hopefuls that if they didn't put in a passionate performance she would send them home, and Relley admits Nicole's comments spurred her on.

She explained: "That was the scariest moment of my life. I was looking at Nicole and I was thinking, 'She does not look happy.'

"I saw her coming round the corner and I was thinking, 'Oh my god, what is she going to say to us?' She gave us a good telling off, and told us we need to do better because we're fighting for our place.

"That talk that Nicole gave us made me want to fight even more for my place. I went out there and I did the best that I could."
