Reboots continue and Cruel Intentions will be getting redone for the small screen at some point in the next few months, coming to televisions from NBC in the future.

Last night (February 24), Sarah Michelle Gellar of the original movie took to her Instagram account to reveal that she'd be making a return to the franchise in her role as Kathryn Merteuil.

In the photo she stands with director Roger Kumble and executive producer Neal Moritz, comparing it with a photo taken on the eve of production of the original movie.

Details about the new series are limited but it is known that it'll pick up in real time and now follow the journey of Bash Casey, the 16-year-old son of Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon's characters Sebastian Valmont and Annette Hargrove respectively.

Stumbling upon his now-deceased father's journal he learns of a legacy that he had no idea existed before setting out to attend Brighton Preparatory Academy - the location fans of the movie will be familiar with as it's where much of the film played out.

We'll bring more news about the Cruel Intentions television series to readers as soon as it's available.
