The former 'Emmerdale' actress - who played Sally Spode in the Dales from 2009 to 2010 - has signed up to the other ITV soap, and has been spotted shooting scenes opposite Joe Duttine, who plays Tim Metcalfe.

A source told Digital Spy that Sian has joined the show in a guest role, and will play a character with a connection to Tim.

The former 'Cutting It' star has previously admitted she would be well up for a role on the cobbles.

Speaking in 2012, she said: "I would love to do 'Corrie'.

"You do work much harder in a soap, because the episode turnover is just horrific, but I'd never say no because something interesting might come up."

Sian joined 'Emmerdale' as no-nonsense character Sally, a former love interest of Ashley Thomas (John Middleton), in August 2009.

Sally later hatched a plan to try to kill Ashley's wife Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and win him back, but was fortunately arrested before she could carry out her plot.

What's more, Sian was an original cast member of 'Les Misérables' in 1985 alongside Michael Ball and Caroline Quentin, and she starred as Sydney Henshall in BBC drama 'Cutting It'.

From 2011 to 2014 she appeared in Sky drama 'Mount Pleasant' alongside former 'Coronation Street' stars Sally Lindsay and Angela Griffin, and former 'EastEnders' actresses Jo Joyner and Sam Womack.

Recently axed 'Emmerdale' actor Asan N'Jie also appeared in the series.
