The BBC are reportedly spending £15,000 to put up Sir Tom Jones at The Savoy hotel.

'The Voice' coach has been given a five-figure entitlement to stay at the lavish London hotel while he films the latest series of the show, as he doesn't live in the UK.

Welsh icon Tom - who lives in Los Angeles, California - is the only coach to receive paid accommodation for the series as fellow stars Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue both live in London and aren't entitled to hotel stays, while will.i.am's £500,000 contract requires him to pay for his own expenses.

The £695-a-night hotel offers guests a butler and private bar, but a 'Voice' insider says Tom does not receive these perks.

The source told The Sun newspaper: "Tom doesn't have a butler -- we're at his beck and call so he doesn't need one."

The BBC confirmed Tom is provided accommodation while filming, but insists the arrangement is through TV company Wall to Wall, which produces 'The Voice' for BBC One.

A spokesperson said: "All coaches have their own agreements with the production company for the series.

"For Sir Tom Jones this includes his accommodation as he does not live in the UK."
