The 22-year-old actress required urgent medical assistance after she suffered an asthma attack in Majorca on Thursday (03.03.16), just hours after her now ex - boyfriend Jeremy McConnell publicly confessed to cheating on her with a teenager during a night out in Newcastle last month.
A source close to the former 'Hollyoaks' star told The Sun Online: "Stephanie went to hospital yesterday for an asthma attack. She didn't have her inhaler. She's had an up and down week with all the stress that's going on and it's being presumed that was the trigger. An ambulance was called and she spent four hours being treated."
Despite needing urgent attention, she has now returned to her five-star hotel in the Spanish resort to recover, although she remains "heartbroken" and fragile.
The source explained: "She's now back at the hotel and recovering. She's healthy, but heartbroken."
Jeremy made the shock announcement of his infidelity less than 24 hours ago when he finally admitted to romping with Caroline Pope, 19, just a day after he left Stephanie pining over him in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house in February.
Allegations Jeremy had cheated on Stephanie spread like wildfire four weeks ago but he continually poured cold water on the rumours until the actress uploaded a screen grab of her conversation with Caroline on Instagram, which confirmed they'd spent the night together behind her back.
