The 46-year-old singer - who is best known as a member of the pop group Steps - has joked that it would take an astronomical amount of money for her to join the ITV show.

Claire exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "They would have to pay me so much money that I wouldn't care about having things dumped on my head. And that's not an amount they've ever paid anyone!

"I think [Steps bandmate] Lee would be great in the jungle. I think he would really embrace it. But I absolutely know that I would hate every single second of it. And I think life's too short to spend time doing something that you absolutely hate."

The 'One For Sorrow' hitmaker - who has competed on 'The Masked Singer' and 'Cooking With the Stars' in recent months - is also reluctant to join 'Dancing on Ice', having suffered a painful injury during her younger years.

She said: "I broke my wrist ice skating when I was 11. So, I don't know it's always scared me a little bit. I always think you're gonna get like someone going over your hand – nope!"

Meanwhile, Claire - who released her first solo album in 2019 - is paying tribute to some of her music idols, such as Celine Dion, and Barbra Streisand, with the release of the covers collection 'Euphoria'.

Discussing the inspiration behind the album, Claire - whose new album is out now - shared: "The idea from it came from a conversation with [producer] Steve Anderson about how I ended up singing the way I do really. I didn't start off singing like this, I was very much you know, musical theatre and bit like Julie Andrews, very well spoken and every word was pronounced properly and, and it wasn't pop at all. "
